Hi, my name is Indy Makkinje,
A photographer and filmmaker based in Barcelona, drawn to emotion, essence, and the quiet stories that live between moments. My work lives in the space where documentary observation meets cinematic warmth. I’m always searching for something deeper than the image itself: a feeling, an energy, 
a truth.
Whether I’m documenting a spiritual retreat on the other side of the world, capturing the pulse of a festival, or wandering foreign streets with my analog camera, my intention remains the same: to create images that feel like memories — warm, nostalgic, emotional, and alive.
Over the years, I’ve become known for my sensitivity, my presence, and my ability to work with complete discretion, especially in intimate environments like women’s circles and spiritual retreats. I travel internationally to document retreats, events, stories, and personal journeys, always prioritizing respect, intuition, and the comfort of the people I’m photographing.
My experience ranges from working with brands like SEAT, covering Primavera Sound Barcelona, and collaborating with musicians such as Jay Horsth and James Stefano, to exhibiting my work in multiple galleries. I recently published my first photobook. An analog, documentary-style journey through Brazil, the beginning of an ongoing series exploring travel, memory, emotion, and the lessons I learn along the way.
Photography, for me, is both art and self-exploration. Each project becomes a chapter of my life — a chance to transform what I witness, feel, and learn into imagery that inspires, comforts, and connects. I create from the heart, blending cinematic visuals with storytelling that is spiritual, reflective, and deeply human.

I help my clients feel comfortable and heard. I use my expertise and skills to help them visualize what they feel, what they do and what message they want to bring out to the world. I help them visualize their message.

 I also work as a UGC creator and Content Creator,
 focused on bringing brands closer to the people they want to reach. My work blends storytelling, authenticity, and aesthetics, creating content that feels real, relatable, and genuinely human.
I believe the most impactful content doesn’t scream for attention; it connects. That’s why I approach UGC creation from a place of honesty and everyday experience. Whether I'm filming a product in natural light, documenting a moment from my day, or sharing a candid voiceover, my goal is always the same: to make people stop, feel something, and trust what they see.
With a background in visual media and years of experience behind the camera, I bring a creative eye and professional production quality to the UGC world. I love working closely with brands to understand their story, their values, and what sets them apart, to then translating that into videos and photos that their audience actually wants to engage with.
From lifestyle to wellness, travel, tech, beauty, and everything in between, I create content that is natural, minimal, aesthetic, and emotionally grounded. I’m passionate about helping brands show up authentically in a world that’s craving more realness.
